OMD Royal Albert Hall Images.
The shots are now in circulation for the Band's Advertising, Press & PR following their monumental one-off show at the Royal Albert Hall a couple of weeks ago.
Speaking with band frontman Andy McCluskey he confirms "it was a a hard choice selecting as there were some truly fabulous shots, really impressive stuff and there is hardly one that isn't really great".
I am overwhelmed to say the least. for me it was an amalgamation of my favourite band and an amazing venue with free access to roam to do my job.
I hope you enjoyed this shots. There are many many more of equal stature.
Preparations for OMD at the Royal Albert Hall
At the moment my equipment is being sorted and checked in advance of me photographing my musical heroes OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) who are playing 2 historic albums back to back live at the Royal Albert Hall, namely Architecture & Morality and Dazzle Ships.
Even of this is not your taste in music, the chance to work with your musical heroes is thrilling. These guys are some the pioneers of electronic music formed in the latter half of the 70's they dominated the charts in the 80s. The disbandment saw Andy & Paul go their separate musical ways, Andy forming Atomic Kitten and Co-writing their first album including the worldwide award winning smash 'Whole Again'.
OMD reformed in 2007 which is when i first met the band. I spent time at the production rehearsal in Liverpool for their comeback tour. Needless to say i was the first fan to see the reformed show. The band were apprehensive to the tour but it sold out very quickly so more dates were added and due to their own admission this was unexpected. They have since grown to covering tours and headlining festivals in UK & Europe.
in 2010 I was commissioned to photograph the original lineup of for their forthcoming tour 'History of Modern' This was a studio shoot in Liverpool. The original concept of the shoot was ditched in favour of a group B&W shoot and individual 3/4 shots.These images were used for PR, in the tour programme and merchandise desks at the shows in the UK, Europe and USA.
Yesterday i was in communications with the Band and Management regarding the show on Monday I am photographing for the band, In particular a certain photograph I have in mind which will hopefully will be taking place. If it does it will be an amazing image.
I can't post the shots here until they have approval so in the next few weeks i hope to have something to show.

Wedding of Alexei & Sarah
On Saturday 30th April 2016 I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely wedding of Alexei & Sarah.
The wedding took place at St Margarets Church Stratton St Margaret, Swindon.
Upon exiting the church and despite the weather looking lovely all morning the clouds gathered and the rain slowly started. I managed to get the group photographs done in record time thanks to the assistance of the Best Man who proved invaluable.
We darted to our waiting cars and drove across town in the rain, sleet, hail & snow to Lydiard House Swindon for the reception. We were greeted with brilliant sunshine and a clear deep blue sky enabling me to gather some special time with the couple.
Congratulations to them both and i wish them all the luck for the future.
Nationwide Building Society New CEO Photograph Joe Garner
A few weeks ago my biggest client Nationwide Building Society commissioned Redhouse Photography to photograph the new CEO Joe Garner.
The shot took place at nationwide's Head office in Swindon. The set up was done in the morning an the slot for Joe's shoot was at 2pm. This coincided with a Video interview in the room next door.
As you can see, the shoot was done against a green-screen set up. This enables a different backdrop to be inserted to the image as long as the subject is not wearing green.
Joe on the day proved to be an excellent subject. We passed a few jokes back and forth to break the ice and our mutual subject of our Son's bing the same age helped with the jokes. This makes for a more natural look when shooting.
I was certainly pleased with the result. The final image that was selected has now been released. This will be used across the network for Press & PR images in Newspapers, Magazines, Websites etc.
